Nevada is dominated by Las Vegas Valley pickups – the metro accounts for about 90% of state volume between Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin and Spring Valley. There are obvious client profiles: hospitality and entertainment industry veterans leaving the Strip for a blossoming event and tourism industry in Toronto, remote workers leaving Nevada tax-haven stints for lifestyle reasons, retirees consolidating households after years of Sun City Anthem or Sun City MacDonald Ranch, and Tesla Gigafactory transfers from Reno-Sparks to Canadian EV operations. Reno and Northern Nevada also feel the effects of University of Nevada Reno academics and liquidations of Lake Tahoe property.

Las Vegas pickups have their own operational realities. High-rises adjacent to the Strip (Veer Towers, Turnberry Place, Panorama Towers) require a Certificate of Insurance and booking of the freight elevator 48-72 hours in advance. Many gated communities in Henderson and Summerlin require HOA approval for truck access. Sun City retirement communities have specific delivery hours. The Nevada inventory check dictates the cubic foot pricing; the 7-10 day cross-country haul through Utah, Wyoming and the Midwest does not change what you pay when the truck unloads in Toronto.

Nevada relocations include the long haul 2,300-mile transit out of the Mojave Desert region across the Plains to Ontario. Pickup logistics often include Strip-adjacent high-rise COI and elevator coordination, HOA approvals for gated communities in Henderson and Summerlin, retirement community access window scheduling, and standard suburban access at Reno-Sparks addresses.

Truck Route from Las Vegas to Toronto

One of the longer cross country routes we run is from Nevada to Ontario. Weather across the Rockies and Plains often dictates the schedule. Drivers head north on I-15 from Las Vegas through southern Utah to Salt Lake City, a drive that takes about a day. The truck will take I-80 East from Salt Lake City through Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa and into Illinois – the longest single stretch, roughly three to four days under normal conditions. East of Chicago, I-94 goes through Michigan to Detroit, with customs at the Ambassador Bridge. Then the truck heads into the GTA on Highway 401 East. Reno and Northern Nevada pickups head straight east on I-80 across Nevada and Utah, joining the standard route back at Salt Lake City – adds half a day over the Las Vegas path. Lake Tahoe area pickups (Incline Village, Stateline) go a little further on the front leg via NV-431 or US-50 to reach I-80 at Sparks.
