How We Protect Your Long-Distance Move
Long-distance moves carry real risks when you hire the wrong company: quotes that double on moving day, belongings held until you pay extra, rented trucks with unknown crews, and weeks of silence while your shipment is in transit. Here is how we prevent each of these problems.
Fixed Price in the Contract
The rate we agree on is written into your contract before pickup. Unlike low “60¢ per pound” offers that may look inexpensive upfront but increase after weighing, loading, or added fees, our quote is based on the actual volume and details of your move. No bait-and-switch at loading, no surprise charges on delivery, and no holding your belongings until you pay more. The price in your contract is the price you pay.
Our Own Trucks and Crews
No rented or unmarked trucks. Your move is handled by our trained staff in Easy Moving uniforms, arriving in a branded Easy Moving truck with all required tools for disassembly, packing, and loading. For consolidated shipments, every box and piece of furniture is individually labeled and isolated to ensure it stays with your shipment throughout transit. Every move also includes cargo protection of up to $45,000 and $1 million in liability insurance for added peace of mind.
Status Updates in Transit
Every move is assigned a dedicated coordinator who oversees your relocation from pickup to delivery. You’ll receive proactive transit updates, clear delivery timelines, and a direct point of contact whenever you need assistance.
Safe Payment, No Cash-Only
We do not require large cash-only deposits. Payment is handled through secure, documented methods including credit cards and e-transfer, with clear receipts at every stage.
Long-Distance Movers in Toronto
Easy Moving is a professional long-distance moving company based in Toronto, operating across Canada since 2001. We handle relocations from Ontario to every major destination in Western and Eastern Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, and the Atlantic provinces.
For a move to British Columbia, see our Toronto to Vancouver moving service for route-specific details.
Our trucks run weekly consolidated routes across the Trans-Canada. Each trip is scheduled in advance, each truck is loaded based on a fixed departure calendar, and each client's cargo is separately inventoried inside the shared load. This is what allows us to keep prices predictable without running half-empty trucks.
If you want a fast price indication, use our moving calculator. For a detailed quote with exact pickup and delivery windows, call us directly and one of our agents will work through your inventory with you.
How the Moving Process Works
1. Request a Virtual Estimate
Start with a free virtual or in-home estimate. We review your inventory, discuss pickup and delivery details, answer your questions, and provide a binding, volume-based quote with no hidden fees.
2. Confirm Your Move
Once you approve the estimate, we issue your moving contract, reserve space on one of our scheduled weekly departures, and confirm your pickup date. Our team also helps coordinate elevator bookings, parking permits, and building access when required.
3. Pickup & Cross-Canada Transit
Our trained crew loads your belongings into an Easy Moving truck. For consolidated shipments, every box and piece of furniture is individually labeled and kept with your shipment throughout transit. Your dedicated move coordinator provides regular updates until delivery.
4. Delivery to Your New Home
Before arrival, we confirm your delivery window. Our crew unloads your belongings, places furniture in the requested rooms, reassembles items when included in your service, and completes the delivery only after everything has been checked.
Long-Distance Moving Prices
Long-distance moving prices across Canada typically range from $1,500 to $5,000, and often increase with hidden fees from companies that quote by weight or add charges at delivery. We price by cubic foot. The rate is fixed in the contract before pickup and does not change at delivery.
| Destination | Starting Price (CAD) |
|---|---|
| Winnipeg | from $399 |
| Regina | from $399 |
| Saskatoon | from $399 |
| Calgary | from $399 |
| Edmonton | from $599 |
| Vancouver | from $699 |
What affects the final price?
- Total volume of your shipment measured in cubic feet
- Floor level, elevator access, and parking at both ends
- Packing and unpacking services if requested
- Specialty items such as pianos, vehicles, hot tubs, or safes
- Flexibility with pickup and delivery dates
Starting prices above are for small moves (few boxes or one item). Our consolidated shared-load model keeps long-distance rates significantly lower than full-truck pricing.
