Our cross-country movers run a regular weekly schedule steady Northeast corridor from Massachusetts to Toronto. The bulk of pickups are in Boston and Cambridge, with a steady stream from Worcester, Springfield and the Boston metro suburbs along Route 128. This route is popular with academics who are moving between research universities, biotech and pharma professionals moving for Toronto’s burgeoning life sciences industry and Canadian families returning home after stints at MIT, Harvard or other Boston-area institutions.

Most of the shipments are one and two-bedroom apartment loads from the brownstones of Boston and the condos of Cambridge. We assist with Certificate of Insurance and freight elevator coordination for difficult Boston access points such as Beacon Hill and the South End. “Massachusetts has volume lock pricing before pickup. There is no change at delivery in Toronto, regardless of urban access or border timing.”

Truck Route from Boston to Toronto

The Peace Bridge in Buffalo carries the bulk of the freight on this route — it’s the most direct route from the Boston area to the GTA, and handles commercial loads more efficiently than crossings further east. Trucks are picked up in Boston or surrounding suburbs and head west on I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike), which runs continuously through Western Massachusetts and across upstate New York as the New York State Thruway. It goes through Albany, Syracuse and Rochester on the way to Buffalo. Trucks enter the Toronto metro area directly off the QEW after clearing Canadian customs at the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie. If you’re picking up in Worcester or Springfield, the trucks will get right onto I-90, with no changes to the route.

Most household moves from Boston to Toronto are completed within 3–5 days after pickup. Delivery time depends on customs processing, weather conditions, traffic, and your final destination in the Greater Toronto Area. Before pickup, we'll provide an estimated delivery window so you know when to expect your shipment.

We recommend travelling with your passport, immigration documents, medications, valuables, laptops, financial documents, chargers, and a few days' worth of clothing. Many customers also prepare a small "first-night box" with toiletries, phone chargers, basic kitchen items, and anything they'll need immediately after arriving in Toronto.

Yes. We regularly move customers from Boston apartments, Cambridge condominiums, townhouses, and single-family homes to residences throughout Toronto and the GTA. If your building requires a freight elevator reservation, Certificate of Insurance (COI), or loading dock booking, we'll coordinate those requirements with you before moving day.

Real estate closings and lease start dates sometimes change with little notice. If your possession date is delayed, let us know as soon as possible. We can usually adjust the delivery schedule or arrange short-term storage until your new home is ready.

Not always. Lightweight clothing can often remain inside dressers, provided the furniture is structurally sound and the drawers are not overloaded. Heavy items such as books, files, electronics, glass, liquids, or loose objects should always be removed before moving to reduce weight and prevent damage during transportation.

We provide scheduled door-to-door moving services from Boston, Cambridge, Worcester, Springfield, Lowell, Quincy, Newton, Somerville, Waltham, Brookline, Framingham, and surrounding communities to Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
